When Columbia Records released their second Louis Armstrong album set, Louis Armstrong And His Hot Five (C 57), on May 30, 1941, the artist had been on exclusive contract with Decca Records for over five years.

Although I cannot determine the accurate release date of this one here, Armstrong's first album set on Decca, I guess it was caused by the competitive album. There are not many mentions of Armstrong in The Billboard of 1941, but in an advert of Joe Glaser, his manager, in the May 24, 1941 issue, only his latest single release, "Do You Call That a Buddy" (Decca 3756) was referenced, not this album containing four records with slightly higher catalog numbers (plus one previously released coupling, with a lower cat#).

For the moment, I can only upload the album cover of this one. All record labels (blue ones) are displayed in a current eBay offer though, also showing that the two sides of the record with the lowest cat# (2042) were meant as sides 9 and 10 of the album.
