| | Your label, jago125, is an example of Han Enderman's B8 label, which is the first label to feature any upper margin text: “This Copyright, Patented Record may not be sold below price fixed by the Patentee, nor publicly performed" (see Norman Field's wonderful HMV B-series label guide). It was only used till October 1932, so this is very likely one of the original HMV copies of this Ellington record. Strange that it stayed unsold until 1946 so that it had to receive a ST tax code sticker. |
