 I'll bet you've been looking hard for someplace to stick that reference in, xiphophilos. Still, it is not inapt. This is not really American-style rock n' roll. The jazz is nice, but it's too gentile for the character of the piece. I like Asmussen, too. I wonder if he ever did anything with George Shearing? He could have made some real contributions to the MGM small group recordings.

American-style Rock 'n' Roll with German vocals and Danish violin - I love Svend Asmussen, but this reminds me a bit of pizza with pineapple pieces and tinned spaghetti.;-)

 Misinformation like this is why this site has moderators. Unfortunately, this one escaped us. Someone actually approved the entry in 2013. In any case, the entry was more of a review than what really belongs into the Notes (such as the recording place and location), so I've simply removed it.

 Svend Asmussen is NOT from Sweden!
He was born in Denmark in 1916 and died there 100 years old.
