Victor appears to have launched operations in Hollywood in 1929, but their earliest activities appear to have been recording, not pressing. The pressing plant appears to have gone online sometime in early 1935, around the time my copy of Victor 24892 was made. Labels on this record still cite RCA Victor Company, Inc. at the bottom, so the Hollywood pressing plant was likely operational before Summer 1935. Interestingly, Victor 24892 is also the latest example I've seen of a label with the Oakland identifier (the little "O" above Nipper). Victor 24724, pressed in Fall 1934, is the latest release listed in Discogs that was pressed at Oakland. These clues suggest that RCA ceased pressing at Oakland in late 1934 and began pressing at Hollywood in early 1935. cf. https://victorrecords.com/losangelesrecordingstudios

I hadn't noticed it until now, either.

Interesting. I've seen this on a few Victor Scroll labels, such as your copy of Victor 24892, but hadn't noticed this yet on buff label Bluebirds.

Hollywood pressing is denoted by an "H" in the blue band at top of A-side label.
