 His Master's Voice BA 624 Hermann Leopoldi, "Ich hab mir für Grinzig ein'n Dienstmann engagiert / Ich riech an Wein" (image) features an Austrian title and even has "Made in Austria" on the label. So I think the BA-prefix must indeed identify issues made for sale in Austria. In the 1930s, the label didn't yet have the "Made in Austria" text and were black, cf. BA 416, BA 517, whereas post-war (?) issues and reissues have the light-blue label BA 571.

 In my HMV discog., this is an Austrian rel. The year of rel. I don't know at all.
E.G. prefixed releases are German.

 I'm guessing this is an Export issue, but I see there is now a German HMV label listed. Maybe this belongs there?
This looks more (and less!) German than the one record currently listed on that label E.G.2537
