I checked out the Deccas in our database. Based on the +1P tax code, the record must be from 1951 or 1952. I'd guess 1951 because the songs are included in a CD that contains pieces the Dutch Swing College Band recorded between 1948-1951 (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/free.pt/4bZBl2bSaSA/o1mu0XkNSKwJ).

Jelly Roll Morton wrote a song also in 1926 and also called "Black Bottom Stomp", but this is the version written by Ray Henderson (music), B. G. DeSylva und Lew Brown (lyrics) for the Broadway revue "George White's Scandals of 1926." The reason why everyone suddenly wrote Black Bottom songs is, of course, that the Black Bottom dance became a craze in New York in that year, 1926.  Hard to pin this one down, as there only seem to be a couple of others from this numerical series in the database, but it would seem to be no earlier than 1949. The band's website isn't particularly helpful (band formed under this name in 1945, but "soon" changed to The Dutch Swing College Band), but does mention a complete discography that's available for purchase by anyone who is sufficiently interested.
