xiphophilos ● 30th Oct 2020		I thought these particular patent dates and numbers, the patent date Jan. 21, '13 and the patent nr. RE. 16588, appear on Columbia's Viva-tonal labels between 1928-1929. Starting in 1927, though, these labels usually also bear the phrase Viva-tonal, which this one doesn't, cf. M. Sherman & K. Nauck, "Note the Notes," page 32.
W.B.lbl 30th Oct 2020		{Images #2439559 & 2439560}, though with the pre-electrical 1925 label design and 3.5" label size, also had the deep groove that was first seen around 1930-31.
