I'm not sure why we need to preserve the advertising hype of someone who apparently got lost here and thought he was on ebay. There's nothing extremely rare about a 1946 album by a popular swing band, I'm sure, even if it's a Canadian pressing. And it's certainly not a "folio set", but a simple album.
Gene Krupa - extremely rare folio set of 78s – London, Ontario edition.
Extremely rare 4-record set of 78 RPM records by the legendary drummer Gene Krupa.
“Drummin’ With Krupa” was pressed in London, Ontario, at Sparton Records (on the Columbia label) which explains why it is so hard to come by.
The folio and each of the sleeves, as well as the discs are all in very good shape. The gentleman I inherited them from signed one sleeve with his name and “Christmas 1946”.
The songs themselves have all been released previously and include some of Krupa’s biggest numbers: Drummin’ Boy, Drummin’ Man, Let me off Uptown and others.
This is a definite collector’s item. [Moved from Notes originally posted by boogiecam].
I hope that boogiecam will add them soon as he seems to own the complete album, and I hope that he can improve his camera or scanner as the images seem a bit 'odd' with color striping as a fellow mod observed.
Anyway I will move his extensive remarks from the notes and the image descriptions to the comments (though I'd prefer him to copy and past them here himself).
