fixbutte 9th Dec 2015		In December 1947, Eddie Safranski was also allowed to direct the Poll Cats, consisting of members of the poll-winning Kenton orchestra, for the recording of the very first Atlantic single, with the top side appropriately titled "Sa-frantic" (Atlantic 851).



paneity 9th Dec 2015		Opus In Pastels was recorded at Radio Recorders studio in Los Angeles on 2 August 1946. Safranski, recorded at Radio Recorders on 12 July 1946, was originally called Artistry In Bass. Kenton retitled it out of regard for Eddie Safranski's bass playing.
