xiphophilos 28th May 2020		"Kan du glemme gamle Norge" (Can You Forget Old Norway?) encapsulates the feelings of Norwegian immigrants to the United States and is probably the most famous expatriate song in Norwegian. The music was copyrighted in December 1910 by Danish composer Christian Dannenberg (1867-1925), after a text by Anton Sannes (source). At the time Dannenberg revised the song, he worked as a conductor at Fahlstrøm's Theater in Norway's capital Kristiania (Oslo).
