xiphophilos 1st Mar 2018		Quite a spirited yodel performance, still worth listening to today, in fact. Lyrics for "Üsem Ätti" (Our Grandpa, a folk song from the Entlebuch district (canton Lucerne) in Switzerland. It's also called the "Entlibucher Kuhreihen." http://www.sins942.ch/Im_Roeseligarte/411_Uesen_Aetti_dass_er_taeti.pdf Zimmermann sings the first and the third stanza, although with a different wording for the last two lines of the third stanza. 1. Üsem Ätti, daß er täti Mit dem Chueli und dem Stierli Vor das ganze Ländeli stah. Juh sasa, sasa, sa! Är cha Chübeli, Bräntli mache, 's brucht e Ma zu sölige Sache! Dr Ätti isch gar e brave Ma, Wie men keine finde cha. Juh sasa, sasa, sa! Our grandpa that he'd stand with the cow and the steer in front of the whole land. He has made jugs and milk buckets, A man is needed for such things. Grandpa is a very brave man, like you can't find anyone else. 3. »Bueb, nimm ds Bräntli, gang ins Äntli! Nimm d's schwarz Chuehli, trib's zum Ueli, Du muest aber tugeli tue! Es tuet's brönne, -n-es tuet's stäche, Ds Üterli wott ihm schier zerbräche, 'S tuet ihm fri so grüseli weh! Gäll, du hest no nüt so gseh! Boy, take the milk bucket, go to the Entlibuch! Take the black cow, drive it to Ueli. But you must be quick (?). It burns, it stings, the udder is almost bursting. It hurts it quite terribly. Right, you haven't seen anything like this yet?
