mikerhyl SUBS 4th Jun 2021		Petula sang this song as part of a hits medley in Denmark in 1960 so it must have made an impact there ..just added alternative label design pressing .probably the red label was the first pressing



xiphophilos 23rd Apr 2018		Okay, then I feel comfortable changing all the 1950 dates for Danish releases to 1951.



mister_tmg 23rd Apr 2018		I think the Petula site tends to just copy dates from one country (where known) to another. When a release had different international pressings, they group them together, but the dates with month of release only apply to the UK 78s. I supplied them with those. The year of release for many others is often a guess, so I would think it likely this record was released in early 1951. Maybe original release catalogues haven’t survived from other countries to help date the 78s more accurately.



xiphophilos 20th Apr 2018		A friend helped me to look up the earliest references to this record (Petula Clark's "Silver Dollar") in Danish newspapers, and it turns out that the earliest one is from February 1951 (in BT), but most are from April 18-24, 1951: http://www2.statsbiblioteket.dk/mediestream/search/%22petula%20clark%22%20silver%20dollar/date/1949-01-01%2C1955-12-31/page/3/sort/year_asc Do we have any firm evidence to support a 1950 release date for this and the following records by her in Denmark? I'm not sure how reliable the dates on http://www.petulaclark.net/discography/discog4955.html are, especially for non-UK releases.
