Recorded 2 Sept 1898, and released on the first Gramophone Company list of 15 November 1898.

The orchestra were from the Hotel Cecil.

 As Fred Gaisberg only started recording for The Gramophone Co. in August 1898, its a real piece of UK gramophone history. By a strange co-incidence I've also just read that the conductor of the Cecil Orchestra (in 1902, so perhaps here too) was Mr. Norfolk Bernard Megone whose 1905 Nicole disc I posted {here} a couple of years ago.
