 A belated reply, but 'we' were at war with Austria-Hungary as well at that time.

 "Under the Double Eagle" or, in German, "Unter dem Doppeladler," is actually not a German, but an Austro-Hungarian march. Composed in 1893 by Josef Wagner, its title refers to the two-headed eagle that represented the Austro-Hungarian double monarchy.

 What's curious about this coupling in an historical sense is that we have an American march on one side (when the U.S. hadn't yet joined in the War), and a German one on the B-side at a time when the Boche were the enemy, dont'cha know?
