scrough 12th Apr 2020		Gramophone Company discs were always 'International' with regional branches choosing the discs in their catalogues. Both sides were recorded in 1905. As noted in the comments on G.C.-2-43200/G.C.-4-42182, Gram Co. UK only introduced double sided discs in September 1912 (Plum label B and C series), other continental branches introduced them in 1907 - Berlin (1st July), Vienna (15th July), and Paris, Milan, and Scandinavia (15th August). As this is a 'Gramophone&Typewriter' (G&T) it dates to 1907 approx., since the 'Typewriter' part of the name was dropped in November that year.



Spinning Shellac 1959 12th Apr 2020		This record could be an early re-issue pre-1910, previously being single-sided & now issued as a double-sided disc; this might explain the different cat. numbers G. C.-3-42397 and G. C.-3-42527.
