 According to the National Library of Australia, the recording itself was in any case made in Switzerland, in 1949: http://trove.nla.gov.au/work/34826569?q&versionId=43180626.

Elfie Mayerhofer's Internet Movie Database bio says that she made these recordings in 1949 for French Decca. That fits with the only other Decca recording like this I've seen, which has the same ffn-ear logo and the cat. # K.2167 (Friedrich Gulda playing Chopin's Berceuse and Études).

 This isn't American - I've got a feeling it's Swiss; the only other Decca 78 on Discogs with a "K.28" cat# features an orchestra from Zurich (Beromünster - featured here - is also in CH; there was a very powerful AM radio transmitter there for about 70 years). Any thoughts?
