Ah, I see, I got confused because the name is so similar to Mosley's party, thank you for the info.

The far right is somewhat a mirror of the far left in that they are constantly splitting. The British Fascists were founded in 1923 inspired by Mussolini and predate the B.U.F. which started around 1932 and absorbed a lot of the British Fascists who as a party wound up soon after.
As you say it was not until the mid 30's they embraced antisemitism up until then they mainly fought street battles with Communists and Socialists.

A similar label for 'March On !' also appears at archive.org in TMR 65/66 but this is on LO 6 not LO 19, and the matrix numbers appear to be the same. The notes suggest this was recorded around December 1930. Perhaps some or all of these Blue Shirt recordings were re-released on higher numbers with the Columbia association removed from the label?

The Blue Shirts (not to be confused with the"British Fascists" also called Blue Shirts) the nickname for the "Sentinels of Empire" were not an antisemitic movement but anti-Communist and pro Imperialist.
When it became clear to the Commander that Fascism was a bad shower as shown on my comment of the linked record he dissolved the group in 1933 and became an active antifascist.

Very interesting indeed ......... oh ...... maybe it was Mussolini's private copy lol !

Thank you as always scrough.

It seems to be a 'Private Issue', so maybe Columbia decided not to declare their association. Louis Sterling (head of Columbia around this time) was Jewish, so maybe that influenced the removal.

When compared to the 'linked' record, I wonder why the words 'Manufactured By The Columbia Graphophone Co. Ltd. London' are not printed on this label.

Indeed, that area is left blank, and instead, alternative 'rubber stamp' print is applied.
