One more piece in the Excelsior label puzzle. With both sides recorded on March 1, 1943, like LC 105 / BC 104, this record could have been relased in 1944 as it was originally entered. It was not listed among the available records in the Excelsior ad in Billboard Mar 31, 1945, page 15 though.

Reviewed in Billboard Jan 5, 1946, page 27, a December 1945 release would be natural. It was, however, already listed in the Advance Record Releases in Billboard Oct 6, 1945, page 29, for week ending Sep 27, 1945.

And even before that date, the record was advertised in a big Excelsior ad in Billboard Sep 1, 1945, page 21, with shortened catalog number 106, so it was obviously already on the market in August 1945.

Although an earlier regional (West Coast) release cannot be ruled out, the national release of this record apparently happened in mid-1945.

I see the new {Images #861425 & 861427} would now be one of the earliest in this database to bear Bert-Co label typesetting (as was the prior Excelsior release). Wondering at what point this firm began printing 78 labels.
