xiphophilos 20th Jun 2023		"Hit the Deck" was a successful musical from 1927 before it ever became a MGM film.
Bob1951 2nd Apr 2019		Sometimes blurred information is all that is available. One track may have been recorded well before the other, and then combined to make this record. The OPD lists the A side as recorded in 1947. The A side being the same as the US record. The B side of this UK issue is a different recording then the US version.
Russell van Hooff SUBS 1st Apr 2019		I hate it when information becomes blurred. This track is arguably long before 1955, probably around 1949. The simple matter is, the label clearly mentions 'Hit The Deck', which is a 1955 MGM film. If this were a 1949 record, they couldn't possibly mention a film that hadn't been made yet.
