peterdargue 17th Nov 2013		This was Gracie's thanks to the nation for the support she received, over 250,000 letters and gifts, after having two operations for cancer in June/July 1939. Piano accompaniment on "I Love The Moon" is by Harry Parr-Davies. The broadcast is mentioned in Hansard (the record of House of Commons business) noting that "Gracie Fields is on the air tonight. It is obvious that the debate will have to end at an early hour."
