fixbutte 29th Apr 2015		Arthur Smith recorded this fantastic guitar showcase with its relentless boogie rhythm and drive together with the rhythm guitarist and the bassist of Cecil Campbell's Tennessee Ramblers after a session of these in 1945, probably in Washington, D.C. It was a hugely influential record from the beginning (although it didn't chart before it was reissued - not re-recorded - by MGM in 1948, during the second recording ban) and became the base for a lot of other hits, namely "Woo-Hoo" by The Rock-A-Teens and "Guitar Boogie Shuffle" by The Virtues, both of 1959.
