 You are describing the older label style (1942-ca. 1945) that Frank Daniels on his Capitol Label Guide under SINGLES calls CAP 42 vs. the label illustrated here, which is his CAP45.

The most recent Capitol release we currently have in both label styles is Capitol 147 from February 1944. On Discogs, the latest release with the CAP42 label is Capitol 150 from April 1944, thus contemporary with our record here. I assume the switch to the newer label happened within a month or two, and that's why the older labels on this record are rather rare.

 There are two versions of this label. The illustrated version is, I think, the later of the two. The earlier version has the title on Side A in two lines, instead of one. The Capitol building in the logo is the complete Capitol building with portions appearing both above and below the word "Capitol", whereas the Capitol on the illustrated version is limited to the dome of the building, appearing above the word "Capitol"
