Brian Rust acknowledged that there is a vocal on side B in his American Dance Band Discography, but he didn't say who it was, nor did he acknowledge the existence of the Oriole issue shown here. The Online Discographical Project shows the vocalist as IK, which almost certainly stands for Irving Kaufman and probably represents researcher Steve Abrams' opinion. The Banner 6318 label on Xiphophilos' video clip lists the vocalist as Irving's brother, Jack Kaufman, which makes him my front runner for the true identity of Dick Holmes, but not enough to bet the farm on it.

If you're a fan of the bass sax, give a listen to the video clip. There's a roomy solo. Most of the bass sax work in New York during the 1920s was done by a handful of guys, notably Adrian Rollini and Joe Rushton. It would be nice to know who this is.
