I am rather surprised by this copy of a coupling that not only on 78discography.com but also on 45worlds is properly listed as King 614. Although I didn't know about this variant, I have a guess. I presume that this was the coupling that King originally intended to issue on cat# 606, in March or April 1947 like close-by numbers in the King catalog. When, however, the song "Open The Door Richard" became such a big seller (with five different versions in the Billboard charts as of January 1947), the coupling was altered and, instead of "Let Me Play With Your Poodle", "Open The Door Richard" was rush-released with "The Freckle Song" on King 606 in February 1947. All three sides were recorded on January 29, 1947 anyway, whereas both sides of the lower number King 597, which actually came out afterwards, were recorded some months before, in September and October 1946 respectively.

So why was "The Freckle Song" released again as the B-side of "Let Me Play With Your Poodle" on King 614 in May 1947? I guess that a number of copies had already been pressed for a scheduled release on #606, so it would have been cost-efficient to just relabel them, and maybe this copy here was accidentally overlooked.

Anyway it is a very welcome addition to my The King of Hillbilly - King 500 / 1000 Series list that I had thought was complete.

45worlds already has King 606 properly listed. It's "Open The Door Richard" with "The Freckle Song". 78discography.com shows King 614 as "Let Me Play With Your Poodle" with "The Freckle Song". My copy of "Let Me Play With Your Poodle" is labeled King 606. The labels on my copy don't appear to match each other with respect to fonts and layout.
