SAM SAH on the A side label is a misprint for tenor SAM ASH

Two versions of Emerson 1018 were released.

Version 1 contains "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" (either Mx. 490-1 or -2), recorded by George Gordon ca. May, 1919, released in late June, 1919.

Version 2 contains "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles" (Mx. 4694-1, -2 or -3), recorded by Walter Scanlan ca. January, 1920.

Bob1951 26th Jun 2017		Ok, I have now done that. For some reason I could not link the releases. When I try to link them it says "could not find record". [They are linked now. Not sure what went wrong earlier. Mod.]



xiphophilos 26th Jun 2017		Bob, your version seems to be the earlier one. Since the recording on the B side is a different one, I think the best way to document this would be if you could create a separate entry for your record.



Bob1951 26th Jun 2017		Label variant images added. The B side matrix on the label variant that is etched into the run-out is 490-2. The artist for the B side (matrix 4694) is Walter Scanlan, while the artist on the label variant B side (matrix 490-2) is George Gordon.
