Notes Tex Ritter with Orchestra Conducted by Rex Khoury. A: From The Chesterfield TV Production "Gunsmoke". B: From The Warner Bros. Production "Down Freedom Road". Ritter recorded "Remember The Alamo" in 1955, as the flip side of "Gunsmoke." According to the liner notes, it was used in the Warner Brothers Picture. "Remember the Alamo" was written by Jane Bowers, a proud Texan who knows much of Texas lore and has constructed several songs from her knowledge. The Trio met her when they were performing in Austin.
