 I've created a new label, Cameo [New York]. This is the first release by Rita Robbins (née Rita Marie Winters), recorded with her brother, Don Winters, ca. 1953.(source) In 1954, she signed with RCA.

 This is something of an odd-ball Cameo. It doesn't belong with the 1920's Cameos. It doesn't have the indispensable Cameo fancy-script logo, but more importantly Rita Robbins and her brother/song-writing partner Don Winters were relatively young performers in the 1950's, when Chet Atkins was producing for them. It might be related to the Cameos that are indexed in this database under Cameo (Philadelphia, PA), but I can't make a better argument for that than synchronicity. To the best of my knowledge, the Philadelphia company had no 2000 numerical series. The label has no direct design similarity to the Philadelphia labels and it bears a NY address that the Philadelphia labels do not reference.
