The original incarnation of blackface comedy duo Moran and Mack was a partnership called Swor (John Swor) and Mack (Charles Sellers), until Swor left and was replaced by George Moran. With the success of Moran and Mack, John Swor reemerged in a new duo called Sweet William (William Le Maire) and Bad Bill (Swor). The The duo's name came from a popular song called Big Bad Bill Is Sweet William Now which had been a hit for label mate Margaret Young (Brunswick 2736), and was eventually covered by (hold on to your hat) Van Halen!

Then the correct matrix number is probably E25087. Maybe it didn't get stamped in completely.

On the b-side runoff in addition to the catalog number, there is "087" in one section and "2" in another section.

I see that the 78discography lists the B side matrix number as 25290 or E25290/1. Is this indeed what the runout of your record says? According to Ross Laird's Brunswick discography, it should be E25087, E25088 or E25089.
