| | The second King session of Harold Franklin “Hawkshaw” Hawkins, in Cincinnati, OH, in September 1946, was a special one because Hawkins recorded only songs written by Ernest Tubb. Strangely the 16 tracks were not released in an album but on eight King singles with consecutive catalog numbers (#554 - #564). Though Praguefrank suggests a concurrent release of them all in September 1946, they were rather released successively (the Billboard reviews for them spread over several weeks from Nov 2 to Nov 30, 1946). |
