DeweyGill SUBS 12th Jun 2024		The song Hurry Sundown is nearly the same song as Hurry On Sundown from Hawkwind’s first LP, both in melody and lyrically. When I interviewed Dave Brock decades ago, I played this 78 for him. He claimed to never have heard it before. I suppose he could have heard another artist’s rendition of it, but Dave claimed authorship. I’m not sure what Clarence Williams’ involvement was, might be one of his many purchased songs from other artists.
