But it's hardly detective work when I can just open Frank Andrews' book at the right page and have all that information in front of me ;)
And the issue dates - accurate to the month for most Zonos - also come from the same book, or the Andrews/Bayly Single-Sided Zono book.

Great sleuthing indeed. I've added a summary of your discoveries to the Notes above.

According to Frank Andrew's "Zonophone Record" book, both Browning Mummery and Herbert Payne are in reality Ernest Pike. The later version of this disc (the one here) was re-recorded 15 June 1923 and released about August 1923. The apparent label 'matrix numbers' aren't matrix numbers at all, but Zonophone 'face numbers', so don't change between the two different discs. The true matrix numbers for the early Nellie/Mourne disc are 11592e/11350e respectively, and Yy3102-2/Yy3103-1 for the later disc.

A bit less muddy now?

 To muddy things further:

(1) the Herbert Payne listed as the other singer for the other 78 with these matrix numbers appears to be a pseudonym of Ernest Pike. This one of those relatively rare instances I'd be prepared to trust wikipedia to some extent.

(2) However, "Browning Mummery" could conceivably be the tenor Joseph Browning Mummery, who appears to have recorded with Joseph omitted from his name.

Since the matrix numbers are the same, I would guess that the singer is actually the same.

Wasn't sure what to do with this one. It already exists here but has a different singer and label type.
