xiphophilos 11th Nov 2023		First mentioned in a Mercury ad in Billboard, December 10, 1949, page 33, so definitely a Dec. 1949 release. B side: Billboard's comment: "Okay rendition of a sentimental plug tune." Seems fair to me, but that's apparently the song that took off.



walk2013 SUBS ● 11th Nov 2023		The submitter supplied this BB page (Jan 14, 1950) as a hint to establish the date, which made it look like Jan 50. But the record was mentioned in the BB review in Dec 49. So that makes Dec 49 a more plausible issue date than Jan 50.
