Thank you hughoffman took me a while to access had to leave off from the =9AF etc to access but got there and it was worth it thanks again, away to see if it was recorded and sold as a single 78 or 45. well 1985 would rule out a recording on 78rpm.

There is also a song about John Thomson, written and sung by John Watt -

I am amazed at the in-depth digging and information that catters unearth. The image I had put on here is from a framed image of the disc a fellow Celtic fan has provided from the Dick family (Glen Daly's real name). They are donating it to Celtic park for a forthcoming museum exhibit. I had never heard it or seen it before and I am truly astounded to find on here more information from something that is over 80 yrs old than some of my discs from the 1980s. I doff my cap to you all. PS: As I am Scottish I should have said my bunett and not cap is truly doffed.

Per William Dean-Myatt's 'Scottish Vernacular Discography, 1888-1960', p. 14, available through the National Library of Scotland, Douglas Robb is a pseudonym on Beltona for (John) Kennedy McKenna (http://www.nls.uk/media/1056451/section-18-r.pdf).

The A Side of Beltona 1711 is listed section 16, p. 9.

The B Side of Beltona 1711 features the Alexander McGregor Band with "The Scottish League" (section 14, p. 30).

Both songs were recorded at 62 Glengall Road, Peckham, London, Monday, 14th. – Tuesday, 15th. September 1931.

I know this is not what we usually accept but it is the only image I can find. Hopefully I can obtain the fuller image or the actual disc soon. There is a recording of this on the internet if anyone is interested. Edited and replaced image. Only A side available; the disc has been framed and presented to the Scottish FA to be shown in their museum.
