 A side:


This side here discusses the interesting political complexities of the song in late-war Nazi Germany. Recorded in March 1943 and covered by Rudi Schuricke in late summer 1943, the song quickly became popular but couldn't be played on the radio for long because the Americans took Naples and Capri from the Germans in 1943. After the war, the song, esp. its Schuricke version, immediately became a hit all through the 1950s.

 So this must be a post-war repress, ca. 1946-1948. I fixed the date; couldn't be 1942 because the recording was made in March 1943.
