 Part of Alex Balmforth's essay about the UK record industry, he says of Polygon


Prior to Pye purchasing the company, a UK distribution agreement was established with Levy’s Oriole Records when their first 78-rpm’s were released. Although an initial twelve-month deal was brokered with Oriole I can find no hard evidence of the longevity of this arrangement. Freeman occasionally used Decca Records presses… though in its brief existence it is clear that Oriole took care of the bulk of their pressing and distribution.

 Polygon's seem to have U's and N's in the runnouts - is that one of the BUCKINGHAM codes as used by Decca. This disc came into my collection and sold the next day.
