The only way to be certain is if I find a copy of an earlier issue of these songs sung by Albert Whelan and compare the two. If the evidence is strong enough for this to possibly be Jack Charman than that should be added to the Notes and the artist changed to [artist not listed] IMHO.

I noticed that too and I think it's probably correct - although I don't know much about these old records. As he nominates the correct performer, maybe we should change this listing?

Is Albert Whelan the actual performer of the A track, or is the actual performer uncredited (thus, it should be [artist not listed])? "Successfully featured by Mr. Albert Whelan" sounds more like an attempt to promote the song than like a description of who's the performer. M. G. Thomas lists the performers of both sides as "anonymous" and identifies them as Jack Charman.

Cheers for adding B side title, as for which is the A side in a large part of the 78 era it was the side you liked and played the most, there not being an official A side. Even in the chart era the side shown as the B side could often be the charting side.
The usual method for determining the A side is the lowest matrix no. but at the moment I cannot find this disc and that presupposes the matrix no. is impressed in the dead wax.

B-side title added from this source. The site lists the two sides other way around - not sure how to tell if there's an A-side or not.

Same label both sides, I can tell it's a different song though unable to identify artist or song due too the wear on the record.
