 Sidney, your mention of France reminded me that UK Decca had a deal with the French label Blue Star - I think this was mentioned briefly in one of Paul Pelletier's guides, which I can't access at the moment. The matrices suggest that this may be a Blue Star recording, but I don't know whether that label operated in Switzerland (where this was recorded - see mention of Geneva on the A-side) as well as France.

 It seems these earliest US London records came with three different kinds of catalog numbers: no prefix (= blue label), R-prefix (= red label, Classical music), and P-prefix (black label, maybe indicating pop).

 Hi this tune is mentioned on the web as being recorded in 47 for Decca - possibly France?

 As the London label wasn't launched in the UK until late 1949, this is most likely a UK-pressed US release - a clue is the absence of publisher details, which all seem to be missing from US London releases of the period.
