Emmett Miller,a "blackface" minstrel from Macon,Georgia(1900-1962),is recognised as the greatest single influence on the emerging styles of Country,Blues,Jazz,Western Swing etc. The list of those he influenced from the mid 20's reads like a who's who of future greats e.g.Jimmie Rodgers,Bob Wills,Milton Brown,Tommy Duncan,and then the Hank Williams generation etc etc. No single individual has been seen as responsible for how music developed than Emmett Miller.
