Pridesale 16th Feb 2021		Tax Codes (parsed) 21 Oct. 1940 = T Purchase Tax introduced 33.3% (stamps with "No Tax" applied to stock already purchased.) 1 Jan. 1942 = price increase 15 Apr. 1942 = DT Purchase Tax increase 66.6% (on E.M.I. records, the D is above the T) (Double Tax?) 13 Apr. 1943 = TT Purchase Tax increase 100% (This dramatic increase would have resulted in fewer purchases) (Triple Tax) 30 Dec. 1950 = DTP (CT+IP on Decca) (also AT stamps) price increase (so rate was back to DT but the resale price went up) so the images need shifting , with the AT one with the . in the cat one being a later pressing.



Graham7 4th Apr 2019		Added variant labels, the A side of which bears a TT sticker, which would represent Triple Tax, as applied in the mid 1940s. However, I'm not sure it is a genuine purchase tax stamp, and may just be a stamp with TT on!

jaimeeduardo 27th Aug 2017		The label here should be Parlophone. Odeon Series is, as the title suggests, a series, not a label. These discs appear in various discographies under Parlophone. Numerical Listing of Parlophone (British) 78rpm issues is one such list. This list, and others, provide an orientation to the disc titles, the composers, dates of release (or recording), etc. The data should not be copied into 45Worlds without a true label in hand for verification. Data may need to be rearranged for input. Corrections have been submitted for the track titles and artist name on this example. This recording is available on YouTube as Parlophone R. 20077:
