 What's cool about this release is the A-side was not actually the theme song for The Flintstones at the time this came out - that was Rise and Shine, the B-side (though this version of R&S has sung lyrics while the TV version was instrumental). I recall reading (possible in the liner notes to a Flintstones soundtrack CD that included the Golden Records version of Meet the Flintstones) that the popularity of the A-side led to the decision to take "Meet the Flintstones" (which I believe had just been instrumental background music up to this point) and promote it to opening theme, though a new version was used. I think another reason why Rise and Shine went away was it was identical, melodically, to "Overture", the theme from the Bugs Bunny Road Runner Show. Both shows debuted at almost the same time so the similarity is generally considered a coincidence, but Rise and Shine was still stripped from syndicated versions of the Flintstones for the next 30 years until restored versions of the early episodes began to circulate in the 90s (though its melody remained as incidental music in many episodes).
