Notes

Yellow vinyl.
Music from the MGM film Billy Rose's Jumbo. Label title is "The Circus on Parade" but the sleeve just says "Circus on Parade". No date on sleeve or label. The MGM movie promoted by the record was released in 1962, however it was originally announced for production by MGM in 1950, but was cancelled at the last minute.

For some reason, some record companies made Children's 78 rpm records as late as 1964 in the US.

@W.B.lbl And I just found a YouTube video of one of these 6-inchers featuring the theme from My Favorite Martian. I honestly thought the 78 format, especially the 6-inch ones Golden did, weren't done past the mid-1950s as they were replaced by 45s. Interesting. (They also did a straight 45 of this release too.)

Would a record like this have been released in 1962? As I mention in the notes, according to Wikipedia (citing Turner Classic Movies), the film was to have been made in the early 1950 but was delayed. Is it possible this record was issued to promote a movie that never got made? If not, and it did come out in 1962, it must have been one of the last of its kind.
