OK, I'll go with a generic label design. There is another record on that label, and that group (Sharkey's Dixieland Band) apparently had 6 members also.

That photo caption appears to be missing one member of the band...

The label is neat but I think the band is only an idealized depiction of a generic dixieland band. I don't know if clarinetist Alphone Picou ever wore his hair parted in the middle in 1920s fashion, but he certainly didn't in 1950 when this picture of the Papa Celestin Band was taken (Picou is on the very left, Celestin the trumpeter):

You're welcome, xiphophilos!! I am impressed by the beauty of this record label!! One of the best 78 RPM record labels I've ever seen, dig that artwork!! I'm guessing the six musicians named are the six characters in the drawing?!?

In scanning the Internet 4 information about this record, I see that this record was near the end of Oscar (Papa) Celestin's life. The Christmas Day, 1954 issue of Billboard Magazine has a brief obituary (under THE FINAL CURTAIN, top-center). It states that Mr. Celestin started a similar named band in 1911, so this group may have been around about 40 years at the time of this recording.
