Notes Originally recorded on September 16, 1924 and released as Gennett 5542 Bix Beiderbecke, cornet; George Brunies, trombone Same pairing appears on the UK Tempo label cat# R45 Boris Rose was an infamous New York City resident and jazz fan who recorded hundreds of live shows and radio broadcasts, and dubbed hundreds of old blues and jazz 78's onto records which he pressed himself (often on red vinylite) and sold to jazz collectors through mail order in the 1940's and 1950's. At one time, there was a short documentary or story on him on YouTube. Images
