W.B.lbl 13th Feb 2020		The label type appears to come from Progressive Label of Brooklyn, NY. Up to about 1953, they had all Ludlow typesetting. That year, Progressive began adding Intertype fonts to the mix, and by 1961 they would incorporate different sizes of Linotype Metromedium No. 2 with Metroblack No. 2. Progressive would do label typesetting for Elektra (used not only on Plastylite pressings such as this, but also, later, Abbey Record Mfg. of Newark, NJ) all through about 1968.



annaloog 28th Jul 2016		In its early years, the company was the Elektra-Stratford Corporation. As I recall, after I brought this 78 to the attention of Andy Finney, who compiled the Elektra discography for Jac's book, Follow the Music, he replied that Jac referred to this as released on Elektra's "Stratford arm". Note, the JH numbers are in the same series as the JH numbers for the 10-inch Elektra LPs.
