 A side:

"Bitte, nach Ihnen! Auf die Minute kommt's nicht an" ("Please, after you! A minute more or less doesn't matter") was a promotional campaign pleading with 1950s German drivers to be polite and show consideration towards pedestrians trying to cross the street. The campaign enlisted popular stars Caterina Valente and John Paris and the well-known founders of a still famous cabaret, Kay and Lore Lorentz from the Kom(m)ödchen in Düsseldorf (est. 1947).

Obviously, that campaign was doomed to fail. ;-)
