 URAB was an early song poem label, among other things. Based in New York City, they also provided transcription services.
The Mark Antony Recording “Orchestra” is a piano, accordion and for the A side, they even throw in a trumpet.
Poor quality disc, URAB must gave gotten a deal on leftover porous wartime shellac with its high clay ratio, pits, bubbles and inclusions.
The B side is a tale of a barmaid who mixes strong drinks and gets her male clients to lavish her with money and gifts. Imagine that. (I once dated a bartender, it was amazing the stuff she brought home daily. Most of it she gave to me- except the tips. I even had her hawking their old records -remember that guys ..and gals). What a racket.
