This issue was pressed and then suddenly cancelled for distribution for unknown reasons. It is unclear as to whether any copies of this disc made it to retail outlets.before the cancellation was ordered (however, since both 78 and 45 retail copies of the release are existant, one may assume that a limited number of the issues were shipped to retailers). Both titles would be re-recorded during a session in March (which is listed below this entry).

I have the record with these labels, with matrix #s =
55-230 and 55-231.
Still, the dead wax matrix #s are these =
55248 , 292 and 55249 , 292.
Were the leftover labels (partly) used for the re-release that had new matrix numbers?
And are these recordings different versions?

Actually Vee-Jay VJ-119 came out around Oct 1954 (I've corrected the previous release date of that one), but it was still in the R&B charts in March/April 1955, so there was no need for a new Jimmy Reed single in Jan 1955 anyway.

Hi Twitster, I've noticed your accurate notes about the different recordings of VJ 132, but I've also corrected your suggested release date for this first version from Jan 1955 to a more realistic Mar 1955 date. A Jan 18, 1955 recording usually would not have been released in the same month, and Vee-Jay had only just released Jimmy Reed material on VJ 119 in Jan 1955.
