To start with, it isn't the book Hamilton wanted to write; that was J. D. Salinger : A Writing Life. But Salinger was far from happy.

The anniversary was 25 years since 'the Fab Four hit number 1 in the pop charts with Please Please Me' (contentious issue with some, don't get me started!) The ISBN was kept the same, as were the mauve boards under the jacket. Credits still stated 'cover design by Andy Warhol! Retail price in 1988 was £8.95
