(1951)	''satan rules the night'' is not the sub-title of this book: it is not a sub-title. publishers of ''one-handed fiction', ''adult fiction'', ''top shelf books'' etc. - known as ''sleaze'' category mmpbs - had taken to republishing their wares under random different raunchy(/ier)-sounding titles (and sometimes also undeclared pseudonyms), to the extent that laws were passed requiring publishers choosing to re-title a book to declare the earlier title upon the front cover. (the laws may only apply/have applied to merkin mass-market paperbacks (mmpbs) distributed primarily via the news wholesalers; but yr hmbl srppnt. does not know this to be the case.)
