ppint. 27th Jun 2018		depending on the author's pronunciation - or lack thereof - of initial "h"s (or "aitches" :-) ), it's arguably not incorrect. it was for a while a class affectation to "drop" initial aitches, e.g. "'ospital" for "hospital": whereupon pronunciation of "an 'ospital" became - for that set - de rigueur. the habit later spread, somewhat. (i believe it was also always very common in working-class cockney, back through at least the nineteenth as well as twentieth centuries c.e. - as, also, was adding an "aitch" to the beginning of words that commenced with a vowel, both as over-correction and as mimicking or mocking middle-class affectation...) - but anyone nowadays who affects the "an-before-words-starting-with-an-h" and pronounces the "h". . .



OldMod67 26th Jun 2018		I've submitted it 'as is', so the grammar in the subtitle is not an error! The longer blurb I've reproduced is also from the title page; I've not attempted to enter the other contributors under author due to the ambiguous nature in the credits...
